Shutting down the whole system isn’t always the answer. We freeze a section of pipe to form a temporary pressure barrier - full isolation, no depressurization, no permanent modification.

How It Works

We apply liquid nitrogen to the outside of the pipe at a controlled rate, forming a solid ice plug that holds differential pressure while work proceeds downstream. Once the job’s done, the freeze thaws naturally - no trace, no modification.

Deploy Us When

  • Upstream isolation is unavailable or unreliable for a valve replacement
  • A pipeline needs modifying without a full depressurization or shutdown
  • You need temporary isolation to run a pressure test
  • A wellhead component needs replacing and existing barriers can’t be verified
  • A valve has failed and you need emergency isolation now

When mechanical isolation tools can’t be deployed, or the geometry won’t take a plug, freeze isolation gets the job done - without the cost and downtime of a full shutdown.
