Rusty Jones serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for Well Control and Critical Well Operations at UniServe Wells Management LLC, bringing more than four decades of hands-on experience in pressure control, snubbing, well intervention, blowout response, workover operations, fishing, plugging, and critical well recovery.

He has led and supported complex well control operations across the United States, the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East, North Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, and other international operating environments. His experience covers live-well intervention, high-risk workover activity, well capping, underground blowouts, relief well support, emergency response, and the recovery of wells under challenging pressure-control conditions.

Rusty began his well control career in 1979 with Cudd Pressure Control, where he progressed rapidly from field hand to supervisor and project leader. Over the course of his career, he has worked on major well control and snubbing assignments in Libya, Australia, Colombia, Nova Scotia, Algeria, Yemen, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Indonesia, Trinidad, and across multiple U.S. basins.

He later served as a Senior Well Control Specialist and Team Leader with Cudd Well Control, where he led multiple well control events across the United States, including offshore Texas and Louisiana operations and major high-pressure blowout response assignments. His background also includes extensive work with Superior Snubbing Services, Bobcat Snubbing and Well Control, 3rd Degree Specialty, and Well Control Solutions.

Rusty brings deep field judgement, practical problem-solving ability, and a strong operational understanding of how to stabilize wells, protect personnel, restore pressure control, and support safe return-to-production or plugging outcomes. His advisory role strengthens UniServe’s technical capability in complex well intervention, emergency response planning, and critical well operations.
